In this talk, Richard will examine the collection of gnostic scriptures that were discovered at Nag Hammadi in Egypt in 1945. These scriptures had been hidden for 17 centuries and their discovery has set the Western world ablaze, with great implications for what we have known as Christianity and its early history.
About the Presenter
Richard has been a member of Blavatsky Lodge for 27 years and has just retired as President of the Sydney branch of the TOS in Australia. His interests include Gnosticism and early Christianity, along with Taoism and Zen. He has been giving a series of talks over the last 10 years on various aspects of Gnosticism and the modern fascination with that philosophy.
