About the Presentation
In a world dominated by fake news, digital pleasure and a twenty-four hours news cycle, more and more people are giving in to the undercurrent of cynicism which celebrates appearances instead of reality.
In this presentation we will seek for the roots of cynicism in the human mind and expose its soul: a cold but seemingly vibrant exile from the Oneness of Life.
About the Presenter
Pedro Oliveira joined the Theosophical Society in 1978 in Brazil and holds a degree in Philosophy from the Federal University in Brazil. At present he is the Education Coordinator for the Australian Section. Pedro has lectured widely for the Society in many countries and his articles have appeared in a number of TS journals.
A former International Secretary of the TS, Head of the Editorial Office at the international Headquarters in Adyar, and President of the Indo-Pacific Federation of the TS, he is also the author of the book N. Sri Ram - A Life of Beneficence and Wisdom published by TPH Adyar in 2009.
